I've decided to play with Live Journal. I have mixed feelings about Blogger for my personal blog. I'm going to see how Live Journal fairs for me. I like it so far because I can link right to my "real" blog on a tab just for that site! Bonus!
Life is full of change these days and I'm ready for them! Frankly, the sooner things change the better for me. I've recently applied for a new day job. If I get this job I will be so thrilled because it is closer to home, more responsibility, allows professional growth, and I could go on and on. The hours are a little more flexible since there are some days that end earlier than others. I won't be driving two hours in the car every day back and forth. These things will free up more time for living and for my home based business. My car will be spared wear and tear and I won't be spending as much on gas; not to mention parking will be free!
Another project I am considering is yet another website. I have my business blog and now I've started this site as my personal blog. What else can there be? I want to make a website connected to my business that also links to my shopping site. Just more exposure. I've got my domain purchased from GoDaddy.com and now I'm just figuring out what to do about hosting that site.
A friend of mine suggested Site Build It. Apparently, this service provides training and step by step instruction for building one's own site which could be rewarding, but it's a little pricey. They do have a special this week that I may take advantage of. Decisions decisions! In the meantime, I'm exploring other options. If anyone happens to read this who has some experience with SBI, I would love your opinion.
The purpose of the new site is going to be more for my customers to get beauty tips and see what's new and trendy. My blog is going to focus more on the business side of things as it always has. The blog will continue to act as a resource for other consultants and direct sales representatives. It will allow things to stay balanced on the sites.
What else could I possibly put on my plate? Well, next month I'm hosting my first hostess party! It will be a jewelry party. I'm also contemplating signing up to sell it because I love it and I would love the discount. Who knows, maybe my party will be a smashing success and I can get my start up kit free. :D That would be awesome! Another avenue of income can't be bad. If/when I sign up, I'll reveal more about that endeavor. I'm keeping it on the down low for now.
