Spring Break

This week is Spring Break, but not for the employees! This year is a little different, however. Our major databases are all undergoing a massive upgrade and, therefore, processing has stopped until next week. It has been an interesting day and I hope this isn't an indication of the entire week. Thank goodness we're not busy. The main conversation of the day has been explaining in circles that not much can be done by way of processing records until the upgrade is complete. It's enough to make one run screaming from the premises. At least traffic is light and there is ample parking during the break.
I do get a little break at the end of the week, however. This weekend is the annual Career Conference for my home based business. This is a highlight for me every year. I've never missed it once since signing my contract. This year I'm going to the conference in Columbus. The very first one I attended back in 2004 was also in Columbus. It will be fun and exciting!
Today I will continue to think happy thoughts of the weekend to get me through and I hope things calm down the rest of the week.
