Staying in Touch

While Hubby was gone, my brother came to town with his new girlfriend. She's very nice. I like her. She gets big sister's star of approval. ;) My brother had never seen our sheep let alone the new lambs so he wanted to see them, too. It was a beautiful day so I brewed some iced tea.

Before they came over I called my grandparents to say hello. I didn't talk long because my aunt and uncle were visiting them. Until this phone call, I hadn't realized my Gram was having memory troubles. My grandpa says she has trouble remembering things, but I had never seen it and thought maybe it was little things and he was exaggerating a little. Well, I was talking to Gram and mentioned that my brother was in town with his new girlfriend. To which she responded, "and what about you. Do you have a friend?" And I said, "what kind of friend?" She said, "a boyfriend!" I said, "Gram! I'm married." And laughed a little. She laughed, too, and said she forgets things. I didn't realize she was forgetting those kinds of things! :( So, I will be keeping in touch more. I have been doing well, but I guess we should both go visit sometime so she remembers.

This Friday is going to be my grandpa's birthday so I'll make it back for that. Hopefully, Hubby can come, too. Maybe that will help to jog Gram's memory.
