Ready for Summer

It's the beginning of June and I can't believe it! I've been so busy with work, Mary Kay, and life that I haven't had much time to blog. I'm trying to get caught up. I have a new computer now. It's a laptop! This is the greatest thing ever! LOL I have been waiting impatiently for months for my accountant to finish up my taxes so I could invest in a new computer. My iMac is awesome, but it is over 5 years old. That is ancient in computer years! I think that is longer than dog years. ;)

So it was time for an upgrade. I have a Macbook. I have the recently upgraded white 13" Macbook. It's not exorbitant and it does what I need it to do. Plus, it is just mine and I am the only one with access. My old iMac started to have issues when Hubby started using it, too. I have my suspicions about rogue webistes picking up files and what not. I know it's not as common with Macs, but at the same time things can happen. This one will be safe. ;)

And now, for a shameless plug. Hehehe. Times like this make me happy I work for a state university. The Apple Store has perks for college students, faculty, and staff! First of all, if you're in college or work at one, see if your school has an Apple discount. Mine does! You get 10% one computer per year as well as certain other products such as iPod and software. Here's a great bonus right now, though! Right now through September 8, when you buy a Mac using your school account, you also get a free iPod touch (8G) after rebate! And as usual, there is a free printer offer after rebate as well. It's a great deal. As a result, I'm wishing Verizon had a contract for the iPhone because I am in LOVE with the iPod touch; which, if you didn't know, is basically an iPhone without the phone and camera. As much as I love(d) my BlackBerry Curve, I think I will be getting an iPhone in the future...so long as Verizon has it available. Don't get me started on AT&T/Cingular...

So, here it is June 2, and it barely broke 70º today. I am cold any time is falls below 75º so this is just unacceptable for me. I'm ready for some hot sunny weather already!
