We had a HUGE maple in front of our house when we moved in. I thought it was rather beautiful, but Hubby felt otherwise. Thursday morning, it was cut down. The main concering was that the tree had many dead limbs and low hanging limbs and it was worrisome during high winds. We always feared that the limbs might be sent into the cars or through a house window during a nasty storm. So, it's good-bye big maple tree. At least I have a picture or two for the memories.

Incidentally, here is what is left of that big old maple tree:

In a few winter's you'll have some good firewood!
So true! We have TONS of wood from several trees. We gave some of the wood away because we may never use it before it were to start dry rotting. We've got so much. LOL
