Well, today didn't start off as planned. Getting up at 5:00 was not as easy as I thought it would be. I wound up lazing around until 6:30 and off to work. I vowed I would do some form of yoga once I got home. Boy, am I glad I did! Work was crazy busy--our office took in 1100 calls! Yikes! STRESSFUL!!! I was so grateful when 5:00 p.m. finally rolled around.
I got home around 6:00. Hubby had dinner started so I put off the yoga. We finished eating around 7:00. I know better than to practice yoga on a full stomach. I waited about an hour and a half. Then, I popped in my Joy of Yoga DVD. I was concerned it would bother my knees, but surprisingly, my knees did just fine. I felt great when my 30 minute session was up. It was even relaxing. I'm quite impressed at my ability to focus what with the dog running about and hubby peering in from time to time to observe.
My plan for tomorrow is to do the Fat Burning DVD. This one is way more intense and I do remember some of the lunge exercises aggravating my knees. I'll have to watch what I do there. I do think I damaged my knees dancing. It seems there may be an issue with cartilige in those joints. They can get quite stiff and feel like they are grinding at times. I am hoping I can strengthen them with the exercise.
