Yoga Hour!

Tonight I did Fat Burning Yoga and Candlelight Yoga. I had anticipated it being about an hour of yoga. To my surprise, it was more like 90 minutes! It felt good. Actually, after Joy of Yoga last night, I felt good. Today I had that next day soreness after exercising. It was that good soreness where you know your body accomplished something. Since it's been a few years since I've been active, I'm embarrassed at my loss of flexibility. The flexibility is still there, but I'm rusty. I'm determined to do this daily for a long time--even beyond January! :D

It has been awhile since I've done any of these yoga DVD's. In the past, my favorite was Candlelight Yoga. I felt very relaxed afterward. Don't get me wrong, I'm feeling great right now! I just think my taste has shifted and my new favorite is Joy of Yoga. It felt really good. I don't know if it's just because I did it first last night or what. I am going to do that one again tomorrow night. The Fat Burning Yoga is the most challenging. Some of the poses are hard on my hips and knees. I'm hoping I strengthen them to the point where it doesn't bother me anymore.

So far, I'm doing great with my 2008 goals! I know, it's only been 3 days! I feel ready to make this a routine. Yoga after work; then housework, then whatever (blogging?). Tonight, I vacuumed, did my yoga, washed the dishes, and now I have time to sit and relax with a cup of tea until hubby gets home from work. I have about an hour to myself. Aaahhh...the satisfaction!
