Beating Out the Storm

Hubby and I decided to go get Subway for supper. After that, we went to Home Depot to get more posts for the fence Hubby is building. Finally, we will have some privacy in our back yard! When we were loading up the truck with our purchases, we noticed a very ominous purple sky headed our way! We had to beat the storm home!
These pictures don't do it justice. The sky was purple and the storm was swirling behind us. I really wish I'd had my camera with me in the car! It would have been a great photo through the back window. In any case, we made it in time and got all the fence supplies into the garage moments before the downpour hit. It didn't rain very long and I was able to make a dry trip to the grocery store afterward.
I love storms. I am looking forward to more this month. Maybe I'm a weirdo, but I really like thunder and lightning and the sound of rain.
