This morning I put in my request to have off for The Breast Cancer 3 Day. It's in August. I signed up for it in November of last year. Little did I know that it was going to be held during the first weekend of school here. When I requested it off I was given a guilt trip and told no one has off in August. What the hell is one day? And the phones are rarely busy on the first Saturday.
So, I'm being guilted for requesting off to participate in a charity event. This job sucks. Needless to say I found a job to apply for at the local Community College which is much closer to my home. I will be submitting my application there tomorrow. I just have to get my resume updated tonight. I'm also working my Mary Kay business more consistently. One way or another I'm getting out of this hellhole. How I pray for the day I can resign and tell someone to take this job and shove it. :)

Good Luck to you! I just got my check stub for June and it had our inservice schedule too. I have an inservice July 15~what the heck is up with that? We have postponed our trip (wherever we are going) to Mid-July and now I have to go to school on the 15th? This really ticks me off. We already have to be there on the 28th-this type of notification sucks!
That totally sucks. Having bosses sucks! LOL! :P
Good luck. You need a new job. It's causing so much stress. I can't do the walk. We have so much going on. I have no idea how I'm going to be in August. Probably crazy by then!
No doubt! I don't see myself getting the donations, but I was going to crew. Now I feel guilty if I so much as do that. What a let down. What I really want is to get this other job and put my notice in. Then they'll just be screwed the entire month of August let alone ONE DAY!!! BWAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA >:)>
UUGGGGH how frustrating. Why can't people just either give you the day or not, no lectures. Sheesh, you're not 12.
