Today is a perfect example of stay at home in bed weather. Around 8:00 last night we got hit with a thunderstorm. I pulled my car into the garage because Hubby was worried tree limbs might get blown onto it. The storm ended around 9:00, but more was on the way. Early this morning an even bigger storm blew in around 4:00. It woke us up. I had trouble falling back to sleep and then I had some bizarre dreams to go with it.
When the alarm sounded at 6:00 I was not ready to get up. It was not raining at that time, but it was that heavy rainy feeling that made me want to stay in bed. I forced myself up around 6:30 and got ready for work. I think I'm lucky I left when I did. I could see another storm on the horizon as I was driving into the city. I was coming from the west and so was the bad weather. As I was entering the building I could hear thunder becoming less distant. Around 7:55 my coworker arrived and asked me if I beat the rain. He said he drove in monsoon-like conditions. Traffic was crawling and visibility was poor. Guess I got here just in time! I do wish I could be home in bed enjoying the rain. It tends to put me right to sleep.

I'm ready for a nap and I woke up at 9. Colby was stroking my hair and Meg had her arms around me. What a perfect way to wake up. I vaguely remember Kris leaving at 7. I know it was storming. The thunder woke me up a few times last night.
UGH! We had winds of 90 mph over the weekend. Power went out in town, tree branches down all around. Scary.
That sounds very scary, Darla! Right now, it is calm out. Breezy. No more rain. Perfect temperature. It's not hot and it's not cold. A little muggy, but comfortable. :)
