Determined to Read

Back in the beginning of winter, I made myself a book list. I was determined to have a Winter Reading List and get through several books. So far, I have read one book in its entirety. That book would be Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella. It was a good book. Very entertaining. Other books on my list were:

Today Matters by John C. Maxwell
Start Late, Finish Rich by David Bach
The Automatic Millionaire by David Bach
Shopaholic Takes Manhattan by Sophie Kinsella
Shopaholic Ties the Knot by Sophie Kinsella

I got a library card back in November or December. I checked out several books and only read one. Now I am reading Today Matters. It is excellent. I have finally disciplined myself to sit and read once in awhile! I've renewed it for about the 4th time now. I am determined to finish it by its due date on March 1, so I can move on to another book!

There is a new book out I'd love to read next. It's too new for the library, but by the time I am ready for another book, it might be there. It is called Time Traps: Proven Strategies for Swamped Salespeople by Todd Duncan. I'm all about time management!

One of these days I'm going to achieve the lifestyle I want. Exactly what is that? I want it to be well rounded. I think reading regularly helps keep the mind active and alert. I want to have a full life complete with exercise, reading, fulfilling employment, a fulfilling marriage, and a social life. I guess you could say I want it all! One way or another I will achieve my goals.

In regard to my current read, Today Matters is an excellent book and I would recommend it to anyone. Granted, I'm only in Chapter 2, but the advice is so profound. It is an excellent guide to abundant living in my opinion. :)

I have read them all but the last two.

I am waiting for my book from Oprah's book club this month to arrive.

In the meantime I am reading eat, pray, love.

Have you read Confessions of a Shopaholic? It is good. I look forward to reading some more of those books. If you haven't read it already, I do recommend it. It's British, so some of the vocabulary is a little different, but that has never bothered me. If you can get past that, it's a good book! :)

I may have to check out Oprah's book club. I was never interested in it before.

Let me know how you like your current book, too. :)
