Standing My Ground

This morning we had a staff meeting for our section of the department. It was really meant to inform us that our office furniture for the new space is backordered so our move will be delayed (again) for another 4-6 weeks. My coworkers and I decided that this was the perfect opportunity to vent our grievances that have been bottled up for some time now. We've been wanting this kind of meeting for a long time now. For some reason, our requests have not been met. We took matters into our own hands. We have an immediate "supervisor" who is basically incompetent. Not only that, but she lies, steals, misinforms, projects her own shortcomings onto us, disappears for lengths of time for no apparent reason, and basically can't do her job effectively. As a result, our department looks bad. Today's meeting was between the three of us, the "supervisor," and her boss.
My coworker started things off by airing out some grievances she had regarding the way a certain situation was handled. Basically, "supervisor" was upset that my coworker assisted another employee with a computer problem she was having. "Supervisor" admitted in this meeting that she deliberately ignores this employee because she just doesn't like her. This is so unprofessional and unacceptable! She then made a fabrication of what went down when tech support arrived. So, she basically called my coworker a liar while lying herself. This bitch has a lot of nerve! So, when she accused my coworker of calling her a liar, I chimed in and brought up a particular incident in which she lied to her boss and told him I was 20 minutes late returning to work from a class when I had actually been 10 minutes early. I think I said something along the lines of, "you make things up all the time! How about when you said I was 20 minutes late coming back from class when I was actually 10 minutes early?? That's the kind of garbage I'm talking about!" I was livid. This shit has been building up for a long time. This stupid fucking bitch has been in our department for 4 years now and still doesn't know how our department even functions. She doesn't know standard policies or procedures. She's an imbecile. It took everything in my being to not use any profanity, but I was very clean, but not nice. She went white. And shut her trap.
Eventually, my other coworker brought up a situation in which she again lied to her boss. She told her boss that he had complained that I get away with adjusting my schedule and he doesn't. He never said this. What's equally bothersome is that she claimed to have picked this up in a personal conversation he was having with another coworker. So, idle gossip is an area where she should use her "managerial expertise" (HA!) and mention "the problem" to her boss; but an employee complaining that her computer isn't working is not? Fucking idiot. So, once again I pipe up. I said, "did he REALLY say that or is that how YOU feel? Are you projecting your problems and issues onto him?" She began arguing with my other coworker again so I then said, "are you going to answer the question or ignore it?" I was mad. She's a bitch.
My heart was about to explode. It was an uncomfortable meeting, but in the end, I do feel better. I got to say what's been on my mind for some time. The things discussed in the meeting barely scratched the surface of the issues at hand.
I shook her up. That is good. She needs to know that we are not oblivious to her devious bullshit. She is incredibly passive aggressive.
My coworker said she was afraid of me. She said my voice totally changed and it was frightening. She said she will make sure that she never does anything to make me that mad at her EVER. :) I guess I can be a hard ass when necessary.

Hi Gina, thanks for stopping by. Sometimes I surprise myself when I take a stand against something I feel is wrong.
