With this Wednesday being Ash Wednesday, it seems I did the "fat" thing a few days early. Hubby and I indulged in pizza and beer last night. I was unable to do yoga last night--you're supposed to do it on an empty stomach. So, for me, perhaps Lent will just begin a few days earlier. I always give up pop. The results are amazing. After a few weeks with no carbonation, I feel pounds lighter! It feels healthier, too. The only time I drink pop during lent is if I have an excruciating migraine. Something about the caffeine in one can of pop relieves the pressure of migraine. Who knew!
So, when I go to the grocery store today, I'm going to be more health conscious. I'm going to buy Nestea and bottled water instead of the usual carbonated beverages. I'm also going to check out Help for IBS and get a list of good foods vs bad foods. I really want to eliminate some of the agony my EBV and IBS have been causing me lately. Diet is a very important factor. (duh) I want to be more health conscious, I guess. :)

I only drink caffeine free diet coke. I have been suspecting that I have IBS for about a month. I'm going to check into the link you posted on that.
I've never given up pop for lent. I've given up lots of stuff (I need to do a post on that!!!) and a lot of things we never went back to doing after lent was over.

LOL! Same here--but I like Lent because it helps me stay on track and drop some bad habits. :)
