My day job consists of customer service. I work in a call center. It's downright unpleasant at times. Most of the people I talk to are kind of grumpy. Who can blame them? They have missed a step somewhere in the process and have lost their way. Now they owe money to our institution or what not. Some are in the process of getting accepted and owe money at other institutions which will ultimately prevent admission to ours. This was the case for today's most etertaining call. I received a call through a relay system for the hearing impaired. These calls tend to be time consuming to begin with because everything goes through a third party. This particular applicant became upset after it had been explained to him that he would not be admitted until he resolved his financial issues at his previous institutions. He then used profanities through the relay system; so, the relay person had to speak the deaf person's words. So, this was a first for me. I was cussed out by a deaf person via the relay system!

I know I shouldn't giggle but I can't help it. I've got a bad case of the giggles.
Being sworn at via relay - now that's something special to put on your resume.
It's ok to giggle. It was amusing. If you're gonna get sworn at, it may as well be through a third party relay system! lol
