Great Habits

Lately, I have been feeling great. Maybe it's the vegetarian diet. Maybe it's the stress relief that has taken place the past couple of weeks. Maybe it's the counseling. I'm not sure what exactly it is, but I have changed some habits lately that I think have made a huge difference in the way I feel and the amount of energy I have. These are some habits I'm already forming and others I want to get into:

1. Waking up at 5:00 a.m. This felt magnificent yesterday. I woke up at 5:00 and I had so much more time to do things in the morning. It was amazing. That extra hour makes all the difference in the world!
2. Cutting out all red meat, pork, and poultry from my diet. I still eat fish and seafood. It's never been a problem for me. Since going on this primarily vegetarian diet, I have a lot more energy. I feel less lethargic. Could all that meat have been weighing me down? I'd have to say yes!
3. Putting housework before pleasure. "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." Conversely, all play and no work makes for an unkempt household and unhappy Hubby! I've been disciplining myself to do housework (which I LOATHE) before I sit down to read or blog or whatever else. There have been less conflicts on the homefront. :)
4. Meal planning. I haven't gotten this down yet, but I'm working on it. My goal is to have a solid meal plan for next week.
5. Getting organized in all areas of life. I'm talking about everything from a financial budget to sitting down with Hubby and determining a work schedule for my Mary Kay business that we can both live with.

That's my starter list. This is going to grow, I'm sure, as I master each area of focus. Getting organized is getting me way more excited than I'd ever expected it would.
