Overcoming Temptation

Tonight I made spaghetti and meat sauce for Hubby. Wow. Did I make an awesome meat sauce tonight. I wanted to eat some really really bad! My strength held up, though. I just had a salad; and oddly enough, that was quite filling! Hubby loved his spaghetti. He actually told me once that he never liked spaghetti that much until I started cooking it for him. Aw... :)
My sauce is quite simple. Here is a list of what I put in it:

1-2 lbs ground round (the leaner the better)
Whole oregano
Basil leaves
Italian seasonings
Garlic powder
Prego sauce (either traditional or meat flavored)
a dash of sugar

Here's the secret--I add all the spices to the meat while it is cooking. After I add the Prego, I add another round of the spices and the sugar. It's good. :) Nothing fancy. Just lots of flavor!

At school? Stupid school! Foiling dinner plans for families everywhere!

*Just FYI, I don't measure when I'm seasoning. I just put a lot on so it gets lots of flavor and I stir it through. Not a lot of sugar though--that's just to make the tomato sauce less acidic. ;)

That sounds like the spaghetti sauce I make. Yummy! I always add a can of rotel too. Spice it up! I don't measure either and I haven't tried to add sugar. Might do that next time!

Rotel, huh? You are the second person in the past couple of weeks to mention how good Rotel is. I never heard of it. Is it a coincidence that the other person who mentioned it also lives in TN? :)
