Gross Greeting

I just came home from a long day. Work always makes for a long day. I was supposed to go to dance class tonight, but once again, I feel like I've been hit by a freight train. I went to my parents' and had some leftovers from Easter so I wouldn't have to mess up the kitchen here. Mom and I watched Law & Order: Criminal Intent (my favorite!). I left when that was over--about 8:00 p.m.
When I came home I saw that the mail was still in the mailbox and the empty trash can was still at the end of the driveway. I got the mail--which was soaked--and dragged the trash can into the garage. I came inside and saw that Hubby had cleaned up the floors a bit. I think he just vacuumed, but it looks good. He left laundry on the couch for me to fold and put away. Billy greeted me--anxious to go outside.
I took Billy outside and brought him back in. I then proceeded to start folding the laundry. I heard strange noises coming from the kitchen. When I went back to see what was going on; there lay Billy with a nasty surprise in front of him. He got sick! I called Hubby and asked him what he had fed the dog. He said nothing and that's probably why he got sick. You know, I figured that since he knew I wasn't going to be home til a little later he would have fed the dog. Boy, was I wrong. I cleaned up the mess--I swear he ate a sponge! Blech! Then I put food and water in his dishes. He didn't want to eat. Instead, Billy started whining and groaning so I took him outside again. He is sick. I hope he is better now. He's lying down now.
Why is it that every time Hubby does something to change up the dog's diet, I get stuck dealing with the mess???
